Here are My Top 4 Book Recommendations
When you're looking for Actionable Steps to create habit change whether Health, Love, Money or General happiness and contentment, here is my list.
In order of when I read them, I’ll share a little bit about each one with you.
"The Happiness Project" By Gretchen Rubin
I first came to know of Gretchen Rubin and her work at an entrepreneurial conference in NYC called Spark & Hustle created by Tory Johnson during the early years of when I was selling, Barefoot Books.
Gretchen presented tangle, tactile action she took over the course of a year, of her own Happiness Project, which she documents in her book, so named.
She is also a researcher and a lawyer, so her pragmatic approach appealed to my schooling in psychology and practical knowledge of human behavior.
The chapters of the book are organized by months! Each chapter has a few bulletpoints at the top delineating which habits she sought to implement to create change in her life. Everything is defined and made sensible and orderly. Who knew change could be so systematic, like a recipe?!?!?!!?
If you would like a recipe for cultivating more Happiness, at the very least more contentment in your life, grab/listen to "The Happiness Project."
Medical Medium by Anthony Williams
This is a bit harder to tackle alone, for me at least. I hired a coach to walk me through some facets of this book, because I wanted to be significantly successful at implementing the proposed changes to my health that Anthony Williams writes about in his books.
I had his book for a few years, followed his work for over a decade. I made small changes, that didn’t last. Last year in mid-winter, I wanted big change, big LASTING change.
For me this book, coupled with an accountability coach who walked the talk herself with this book, was the recipe for my success here.
"The Body of Money" by Gayle Colman
OOOOO buddy! Never have I ever, found a book about money that made me SO happy!
Accessible, relatable, based in psychology and human behavior - Gayle speaks MY LANGUAGE.
And if I speak your language then Gayle’s writing is going to feel wonderfully comforting to you too, on a topic that can create so much tension, triggers and anxious feelings!!
If money is currently uncomfortable from a scale of "kind of" -> to -> "Holy F*ck don’t say the “m” word!"
- please pick up this book!
Then, if you are so moved to get your “M” matters in order, hire her firm - Colman Knight Advisory Group - you will feel more empowered in your money then you could ever imagine!
My own new saying is "I like taking care of my money, and because I care for my money, more money wants to come to me because it wants to be taken care of too!" (This is the Law of Manifestation as it was meant to be practiced!)
"Calling in the One" by Katherine Woodward Thomas
I’ll start by saying, I got him. Maybe that’s all you need to know. Within the first week of finishing this 7-week course book, held in the camaraderie of a confidential, sacred, group space,
He arose, ...again.
(We'd been together before. Life got in the way. Life brought us back together.)
It is not without its work, as any 2 humans will ebb and flow in their ease and sometimes the lack thereof,
yet, when your heart feels complete and your Soul’s knowing is clear…
the work is far easier because the joy is ever deeper and more gratifying. That's all folks!!!
If you have free time, with days off - these are some great books to consume if you are experiencing the nagging nudge to create change in your daily life!
Get out of the rut! Get into these books!
